My loft extension has just been signed off by building control and I want to share this review with other potential clients of Labs Construction.
The process has been an incredible journey from the initial concept to completion. Baz walked and talked me through the different stages from architectural drawings, obtaining planning permission from the council, party wall agreements with neighbours, to coping with the building work on a daily basis.
Baz is a man of many talents; his design ideas, advice, communication and negotiating skills are second to none. And more importantly he manages and holds his team together in a tight containing style. I found the workers to be extremely polite and well behaved. They arrived promptly on site every morning, worked incredibly hard 10 hours a day and respected my home on all occasions.
The space and light that has been created by Labs Construction in my new loft is truly wonderful and gives me a great sense of joy every time I climb the new staircase. Baz and his team transformed our Victorian terrace doing a really great refurb job on a house that hadn’t been touched in at least 30 years. They did the rewire, complete re plastering, put in new kitchen and new bathroom, changing around walls here and there, tiling, stripping and sanding floors, sorting gutters, and adding new radiators and doors as well painting. Lots of work!
Baz was really experienced in refurb work and familiar with the typical Walthamstow terrace which was really helpful. We were confident throughout he knew what was needed. He also was able to advise us on what to do to get the best result, e.g. removing old built-in cupboards to make sure plastering finish was good etc. The team produced a good finish particularly the tiling and plastering. A great job. They also went over and above – for example taking down and putting up new ceilings in places to ensure a smooth result. And even putting up some new fences in the back garden that had blown down.
They were really clean throughout too and polite. Baz genuinely wanted us to be happy with the result. Thanks Baz and team for a great job transforming our new house!
Labs Construction were engaged to refurbish our kitchen, build a small extension and combine the upstairs bathroom and toilet into one room. Basri told me to get ready for work to start 8.00 am Monday morning. I thought I would have to spend the next few weeks off work looking at kitchen designs, bathroom suites, and floor and wall tiles. My wife and I looked at some brochures, went to a few show rooms and soon realised we had no idea how to get ready. To my relief Basri took care of everything including converting our garage into a games room and wall to wall wooden flooring throughout the whole of the ground floor. Basri and his team went the extra mile and i went to work. Well done boys and thanks for a job and half very well done.
Baz and his team have just finished a complete interior and exterior overhaul of our new property and the results are amazing. They turned brick and mortar into a home. They were hard working, artisanal and very honest with feedback and pricing throughout. They went above and beyond and we will definitely be using them again on future projects.
Our experience with LABS Construction transformed my view of builders. they started when they said they would and finished when promised. Basri answers the phone when you call him, which is a novelty for me and builders. Basri has a commitment and passion for design and build and will see his way through any obstacle. He has a wide breadth of knowledge and experience and puts it to use on all tasks. his team are polite and considerate and they finish to a high standard. Its a pity I never knew them 10 years ago.
LABS helped us transform the front of our house and garden; removing a porch, removing the pebble dash and restoring the brick work, removing a tree and treating the garden and building a new wall which now looks great. They offered advice and design ideas throughout the work and were able to help suggest what would look best as well as what would work practically. They were Incredibly conscientious throughout and left the house tidy after each day. We’re delighted with the quality of the work, the way this was done, with the quotes provided for work being accurate and very competitive. Thanks to the whole team for their work.
